Senior Estimator T&D

Location: Castle Rock, Colorado; onsite at a company-designated office or field location. Field walks, pre-bid meetings, job-site visits, and occasional overnight travel may be required.

Salary: $115,000–$160,000 per year, paid weekly and commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Develop proposal responses, bid submittals, work plans, schedules, clarifications, and project-award strategies.
• Conduct field take-offs, constructability evaluations, site visits, and pre-bid meetings.
• Lead estimate reviews and coordinate with project management, construction personnel, customers, subcontractors, and legal teams.
• Prepare change orders, support cost tracking and invoicing, and identify value-engineering savings.
• Mentor estimators and contribute to reviewing estimating staff performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans, specifications, drawings, and proposals.
• Working knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods.
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods for transmission, distribution, and substation scopes, including subcontracted work.
• Ability to prepare work plans, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
