Manager I - Estimating - Gas Power Generation (Gas Power Generation)

What you will do

• Lead preconstruction and estimating for utility-scale gas power generation projects from early development through handoff to construction.
• Manage estimating teams, review project scopes and technical requirements, and coordinate bid strategies.
• Develop accurate, competitive estimates and proposals aligned with client expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to evaluate risks and identify opportunities.
• Coordinate contract negotiations, vendor relationships, project setup, and transitions from preconstruction to execution.
• Develop estimating strategy, improve processes and systems, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of applicable preconstruction or construction experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
• Experience in estimating, project management, contract negotiations, and construction methods.
• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline.
• Strong focus on safety and quality, including estimating project safety requirements, training, PPE, and JHA risks.
• Ability to use company estimating software and perform bid reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting gas power generation projects from development through construction.
• Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, procurement, and project handoff processes.
• Experience developing conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
