Director, Employee Benefits Financial Strategy

Location: United States; some travel required approximately once monthly. Flexible work options are available.

Salary: $200,000–$225,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage regional financial strategy team leads, workload planning, staffing, performance evaluations, hiring, and professional development.
• Lead national financial strategy servicing meetings, training programs, quality standards, peer reviews, and service improvement initiatives.
• Provide peer review, mentoring, financial reporting, underwriting projections, benchmarking, contribution analysis, self-funded decision support, and IBNR analysis for complex employee benefits clients.
• Analyze book-of-business trends and client or prospect needs, communicating findings to national leadership and strategic partners.
• Review marketing materials and RFP submissions, analyze fully insured, TPA, stop-loss, and PBM offerings, and negotiate with carrier partners.
• Develop client communication strategies and champion new initiatives and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of similar or related experience.
• Managerial or leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor experienced professionals.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, financial acumen, problem-solving ability, and accuracy in analysis and peer review.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Life and Health license, maintained through continuing education requirements.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams and tight deadlines.
