Plant Accounting Manager (Manufacturing)

Salary: $88,700–$139,260 USD per year

What you will do

• Support plant operations management with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Maintain the general ledger and manage month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for labor, overhead, scrap, and capital expenditures.
• Analyze overhead spending, labor efficiency, cost drivers, and savings opportunities.
• Partner with operations on continuous improvement initiatives and provide financial guidance.
• Coordinate cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and inventory control compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CMA or CPA certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and an uncompromising focus on accuracy.
• Ability to independently resolve complex, unstructured problems and work with minimal direction.

• Experience with SAP ERP systems.
