Europe APAC Region Lead Diversity and Inclusion in Clinical Trials (AI)

Location: Gentilly, Paris, France; ability to travel 20% required

What you will do

• Develop and execute the Europe and Asia Pacific diversity and inclusion in clinical trials strategy.
• Build a multi-year innovation roadmap with global leadership, including automated reporting, enrollment tracking, KPI dashboards, and actionable insights.
• Manage regional budgets and resources while prioritizing digital and AI-enabled technology investments.
• Establish community partnerships and collaborate with clinical sites, patient advocates, technology providers, consortiums, and policymakers.
• Improve diverse patient recruitment and retention by building site capacity, providing training, and supporting project teams with self-service tools.
• Lead cross-functional governance and collaborate with R&D, Corporate Affairs, Public Affairs, Clinical Sciences Operations, Vaccines, Real World Evidence, and Digital teams.

Requirements

• Proven clinical trial experience, including clinical trial operations and patient enrollment initiatives.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a complex global matrix organization, with a record of leading without formal authority.
• Strong project management, communication, analytical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Data literacy with enrollment data, KPI dashboards, and performance metrics; familiarity with AI/ML concepts in clinical research.
• Knowledge of EU and APAC regulatory requirements, including EMA, MHRA/HRA, PMDA, CFDA, and national competent authorities.
• MSc or equivalent required; PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred. Fluent English and an additional European language are mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with industry consortiums such as EFPIA, TransCelerate, and IHI.
• Experience engaging regulatory bodies, industry associations, patient advocates, or policy stakeholders.
• Experience piloting AI/ML tools for site feasibility and patient identification.
