Head of Program Management

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States. Work takes place in an office and clean manufacturing environment; some travel is required.

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 USD per year, salaried.

What you will do

• Manage and organize the Program Management team, including workload planning, work organization, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate Project Management activities using KPIs and ensure project documentation complies with the NPI process.
• Drive project profitability with the finance controller and lead risk identification and mitigation planning.
• Manage technical responses to requests for quotation, including technology plans, layouts, timelines, governance, and industrial risk assessments.
• Organize the local Program Steering Committee and coordinate input for global program tracking.
• Support recruitment planning, performance assessment, training, onboarding, lean initiatives, continuous improvement, and site safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of program or project management experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams within a transversal organization and working directly with customers.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and self-motivation skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States under applicable federal requirements.
• Ability to work in office and clean manufacturing environments with required PPE and cleanroom apparel.

Nice to have

• Program management experience with industrialization projects for mass production using plastic injection and high-speed assembly technologies.
• Background in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or another mass-production industry.
