Senior Human Resources Manager

Location: Belvidere, IL, USA

Salary: $119,300–$178,900 USD annually, plus eligibility for short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Act as a trusted HR business partner, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
• Advise leaders and employees on employee relations, performance management, compensation, workforce planning, and HR policies.
• Activate HR programs developed by Centers of Excellence, including talent acquisition, talent management, and total rewards.
• Support organizational development, change management, organizational design, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Lead HR projects from planning through execution, including scheduling, risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and contingency planning.
• Partner with Finance, senior leaders, and Talent Acquisition on headcount planning, recruitment, employment branding, and workforce initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or HR business partner capacity.
• Experience working in a matrixed environment and collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, compensation, change management, and compliance.
• Strong communication, consulting, influencing, analytical, and partnership skills.
• Ability to independently manage HR projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or MA in HR.
• SPHR certification and Workday experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and corporate client groups.
• Experience in M&A and divestiture environments.
• Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar project management tools.
