Analyzer Technician (Process Analyzers): Maintaining and improving process analyzer systems in a petrochemical facility with an accent on instrumentation reliability, troubleshooting, compliance, and maintenance documentation. What you will do
- Maintain online analytical instrumentation through preventive and corrective maintenance, routine checks, calibration, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot analytical systems, identify spare parts, resolve priority equipment issues, and support reliability improvements.
- Maintain equipment records, drawings, specification sheets, checklists, procedures, and calibration documentation.
- Support capital improvement projects through scope development, factory acceptance testing, installation oversight, commissioning, and start-up.
- Support Process Safety Management activities, internal audits, incident investigations, alarm management, and equipment obsolescence planning.
- Use SAP to support maintenance and reliability processes while helping achieve site safety, production, environmental compliance, and quality goals.
Requirements
- Associate degree in instrumentation or analyzers, a formal apprentice program, or relevant military technical background.
- At least five years of practical experience maintaining process analyzers, sample conditioning systems, and communications architecture.
- Experience with Siemens Maxum II and Optichrom gas chromatographs, CEMS, IR, UV, TOC, and area or personnel atmospheric monitors.
- Experience maintaining online analyzers such as gas chromatographs, infrared and mass spectrometers, titration, CEMS, HRVOC, oxygen, water quality, and gas detection systems in a petrochemical facility.
- Understanding of chemistry, spectroscopy, and chromatography, with proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, Teams, and computer hardware.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical equipment issues and site outages, troubleshoot problems, perform root cause analysis, communicate effectively, and support contractors and cross-functional teams.
