Analyzer Technician (Instrumentation)

Location: Detroit, Michigan, United States; onsite at the hirify.global refinery

Salary: $51.97 per hour, with scheduled annual increases

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, replace, and overhaul refinery analyzer systems, probes, sensors, and related components.
• Maintain and optimize analyzer sample-handling systems through monitoring and preventive maintenance.
• Perform maintenance and calibration on gas chromatographs, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems, tunable diode lasers, NIR analyzers, and sulfur analyzers.
• Modify analyzer systems, collect data, and manage analyzer configuration and diagnostic data.
• Diagnose analyzer and sample-system issues, recommend solutions, and provide instrumentation support for equipment in analyzer shelters.
• Document work in maintenance systems and records while following site health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• GED or high school diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in science, electronics, or instrumentation; an appropriate technical certificate; a related engineering degree; or three or more years of relevant experience.
• Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and physically perform the job duties.
• Ability to pass a physical ability test, Marathon written test, and hands-on skills demonstration.
• Availability for callouts, overtime, and off-shift work is required.
