Analytical Instrument Technician

What you will do

• Provide technical support for analytical instruments used by quality control and other internal and external customers.
• Coordinate preventive and routine maintenance, troubleshoot instrument issues, and oversee vendor repairs.
• Perform quality reviews and support the development of quality-control test methods.
• Develop and maintain plant and laboratory instrumentation to improve quality.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports to support teams.
• Support safety activities across all aspects of the role while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality or analytical testing in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of organic analysis using chromatography, including GC, GPC, and HPLC, and spectroscopy, including IR and NMR.
• Experience maintaining or servicing analytical equipment.
• Ability to train others on analytical equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, initiative, and analytical skills.
