Electrical & Instrumentation Process Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: El Dorado, Arkansas, United States; onsite plant role. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $110,544–$172,725 annually, plus an 11% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide reliability, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance support for plant electrical, instrumentation, control, and power distribution systems.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, hazardous-location requirements, and site procedures.
• Support PSM processes through MOCs, PHAs, equipment evaluations, and compliance reviews.
• Lead root cause failure analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and approve equipment specifications and support installation, testing, commissioning, and capital projects.
• Analyze maintenance data and improve preventive, predictive, condition-based maintenance, mechanical integrity, and reliability programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of electrical or reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with the design, specification, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code, including hazardous classified locations, and experience in chemical manufacturing or another PSM-regulated industry.
• Ability to perform and document root cause failure analyses and communicate technical information clearly.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visa sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• CMMS experience, such as SAP, and experience applying Lean methodologies.
• CMRP certification and advanced reliability or failure-analysis expertise.
• Experience with FMEA, RCA, MTBF, TPM, OEE, predictive maintenance, life-cycle cost analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonics, and performance monitoring.
