Manufacturing Project Engineer

Location: Belle, Missouri, USA; on-site

Salary: $75,800–$170,100 annually, depending on U.S. labor-cost zone, plus eligibility for incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead complex capital projects involving processing systems, bulk material handling, and packaging equipment from concept through startup and closeout.
• Provide technical leadership to Operations and Maintenance and implement solutions that improve safety, quality, reliability, operability, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, technical specifications, procurement, contractors, suppliers, and external engineering partners.
• Lead root-cause investigations, equipment troubleshooting, feasibility studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate combustible dust, process safety, environmental compliance, quality systems, and security-related engineering programs.
• Analyze operational data and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Reliability, and EHS teams to improve manufacturing capability and asset performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering, or equivalent plant engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience supporting manufacturing operations, capital projects, and continuous improvement.
• Experience delivering capital projects through scope development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, electrical schematics, control system drawings, equipment layouts, instrumentation diagrams, and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of equipment reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, asset management, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or similar methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with process equipment, packaging systems, utilities, facility infrastructure, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with PSM, MOC, SAP or other ERP systems, industrial automation, PLCs, HMI/SCADA, process controls, and industrial networking.
• Knowledge of utility systems, environmental permitting, quality management, RCM, FMEA, vibration analysis, or thermography.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification and experience mentoring technical, engineering, or maintenance teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver’s license and passport.
