Medical Assistant - Float Pool - Per Diem

Location: Manchester, NH, United States. Per diem onsite clinical work; practices operate Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

What you will do

• Prepare patient charts and ensure diagnostic results, reports, and consult notes are available for providers.
• Room patients and document chief complaints, allergies, vital signs, medications, tobacco history, LMP, and health maintenance information.
• Perform clinical measurements, screenings, hearing and vision tests, respiratory testing, ECGs, and point-of-care testing.
• Collect and process specimens, perform venipuncture, and administer medications and immunizations.
• Process prescription refills and prior authorizations for medications and procedures.
• Maintain clinical supplies and medication sample areas according to storage, labeling, and stock-level requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• For MA I: graduation from an accredited or formally structured MA training program, or one year of relevant healthcare experience with formal training.
• For MA II: at least three years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Relevant healthcare experience is required; ambulatory clinical care experience is preferred.
• MA II candidates must hold CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification; these certifications are preferred for MA I.
• BLS authorization must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout employment.
