Pay range: $23.00–$26.91 per hour.

What you will do

  • Coordinate patient flow across outpatient practices, providers, and examination rooms.
  • Prepare patients, examination rooms, and medical records for provider visits.
  • Record vital signs, pain levels, medication information, and other clinical data.
  • Assist providers and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, procedures, immunizations, and specimen collection.
  • Perform ordered point-of-care testing and equipment quality-control checks.
  • Support referrals, prior authorizations, billing documentation, electronic records, supply inventory, and clinic administration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant national certification attestation from AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
  • Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain it within three months.
  • Less than two years of Medical Assistant experience is required; the role supports pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Ability to read, write, and spell in English for documentation and message taking.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records, EPIC, HIPAA, universal precautions, and patient safety procedures.

Nice to have

  • Two years of Medical Assistant experience.
  • Bilingual communication skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems.
