What you will do

• Own end-to-end media relations across tier 1 outlets, security trade media, podcasts, newsletters, creator channels, and other emerging formats.
• Set media strategy for product launches, news announcements, and threat intelligence coverage.
• Build and maintain prioritized relationships with AI, technology, business, and cybersecurity reporters.
• Personally lead pitching, background briefings, trend pitches, story planting, and reactive commentary opportunities.
• Create tier 1 media Q&As and bylines, and draft or edit press releases and executive messaging.
• Prepare executives for interviews, shape stories, write in their voice, and partner with Marketing teams to source storytelling opportunities.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in media relations or public relations.
• Established relationships with tier 1 technology or business media outlets.
• Demonstrated experience with proactive, relationship-driven media work.
• Excellent writing skills, including press releases, Q&As, bylines, and executive communications.
• Strong judgment regarding newsworthiness and what can be said publicly under time pressure.
• Ability to set strategy, operate autonomously, collaborate effectively, and own execution.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cybersecurity, AI, or enterprise SaaS.
• Experience with podcasts, newsletters, creator-driven media, or other non-traditional formats.
• Experience managing or directing an external public relations agency.
• Experience supporting executive communications or C-suite media training.
• Experience in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
