Senior Strategic Communications Analyst (AI)

Location: Full-time onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA; hybrid and remote work are not permitted.

Salary: $143,100–$207,600 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop and execute social media content strategies aligned with CIO and Department of War goals.
• Plan, schedule, publish, and optimize digital content across social media platforms using performance metrics and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with CIO offices to gather information and develop strategic messaging, engagement plans, talking points, briefings, reports, and press releases.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to community interactions, and coordinate responses to media inquiries.
• Create graphics, short videos, and other multimedia assets to support communication campaigns.
• Support senior leaders at local speaking engagements and maintain relationships with public affairs, legal, and legislative affairs stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public policy, political science, information technology, or a related field; a master’s degree may substitute for two years of work experience.
• 14 or more years of strategic communications experience.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, AI, and technology concepts, with the ability to translate technical information into clear messaging for external audiences.
• Experience supporting and briefing GO-, FO-, SES-level, or comparable senior government leaders.
• Experience with social media management platforms and high proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Hootsuite.
• Previous experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of War level.
