General Manager in Training (Automotive Retail)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Onsite dealership role. Ability to relocate out of state after GM certification, expected after approximately 9–12 months; relocation assistance is provided.

What you will do

• Complete the management training program and prepare to run a dealership as a General Manager within approximately 6–12 months.
• Provide dealership leadership, strategic planning, and direction for achieving sales goals.
• Drive sales volume and profitability across available sales channels.
• Implement company-wide marketing initiatives to support sales performance.
• Train and develop employees through established career paths.
• Build referral relationships, lead sales meetings, and maintain excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, listening, critical-thinking, composure, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to take ownership, make informed decisions, and work effectively with management and cross-functional audiences.
• Ability to relocate out of state after becoming a certified General Manager.

Nice to have

• College degree.
• Experience as a General Manager, Retail Manager, or Multi-Unit Manager.
