What you will do

• Lead engineering design, budget estimation, scheduling, equipment specification, and requisitioning for complex electrical transmission systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, feasibility studies, economic analyses, and technical reporting.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary design activities, equipment delivery, constructability, and conformance with project requirements.
• Monitor electrical construction for compliance with plans, specifications, codes, schedules, quality, and safety standards.
• Serve as Project Engineer and provide technical leadership, coordination, and project information to project managers and management.
• Support professional development, training, and evaluation of department personnel, with travel as required.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in transmission engineering.
• Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Proficiency with power-line and structure modeling and computer-aided design development.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and associated POLE and TOWER modules, Excel, MFAD or LPile, and NESC.
• Knowledge of electric utility industry codes, standards, and practices; familiarity with ACI, ASCE Pole Manual, and AISC Steel Manual is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, initiative, attention to detail, and professional record-keeping skills.
