Salary: $146,664–$209,520 in Boston, MA; $114,000–$165,870 in Portland, ME

What you will do

• Lead and execute the engineering and design components of high-voltage transmission line projects in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Develop and implement technical project execution plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, and risk mitigation activities.
• Direct, mentor, train, and supervise Project Engineers, EITs, designers, CADD technicians, and administrative staff.
• Coordinate and lead QA/QC activities in accordance with hirify.global’s Quality Management Systems.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects and coordinate teams working in different locations.
• Support technical proposals, industry presentations, training, and development of specialized transmission expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience; Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering may also be considered.
• At least 10 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility or renewables industry.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, steel and wood transmission structure analysis and design, foundation design, material procurement, specifications, and construction support.
• Exposure to transmission line siting and routing, environmental permitting, and right-of-way acquisition.
• Strong written, verbal, listening, leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Professional registration, license, or certification may be required; a PE license is preferred. Local candidates are preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Distribution line design or steel lattice tower modeling and design experience.
• Experience with renewables developers or renewable interconnection.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
