What you will do

• Prepare conceptual and detailed transmission line designs using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
• Develop construction release packages, including plan and profiles, structure assemblies, stringing charts, foundation details, and bills of material.
• Perform engineering analyses, develop design options, and provide input on project specifications, cost estimates, manhours, and schedules.
• Coordinate quality control reviews and provide guidance and learning opportunities for EITs and designers.
• Lead client design reviews, attend stakeholder meetings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Perform site visits during design, construction, and as-built phases, including field reviews and construction observation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; civil, mechanical, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position location, such as a PE or P.Eng license.
• At least 4 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility or renewables industry.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, transmission structure analysis, foundation design, and preparation of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI design codes.
• Experience executing projects in the Power Market Sector, with strong written, verbal, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with transmission line voltages from 69kV through 500kV; experience through 765kV is an advantage.
• Experience with renewables developers or renewable interconnection projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, or Revit.
