Property Claims Adjuster II (South Central PA - WFH)

Location: Work from home in Pennsylvania while covering South Central PA, including York, Cumberland, and Adams County; day travel to policy locations is required an average of 3–4 days per week, with occasional overnight travel and catastrophe duty.

Salary: $62,500–$115,500 annually; expected starting range: $62,500–$93,500.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve moderate to severe property damage claims by phone and face-to-face.
• Determine policy coverage, apply claims guidelines, and manage claim reserves from opening through closure.
• Write repair requirements and cost estimates using Xactimate and local market pricing.
• Conduct virtual and onsite property inspections, including rooftop inspections using ladders and work in varied weather conditions.
• Identify fraud and subrogation opportunities and support files involving lawsuits, trials, and reinsurance.
• Provide clear guidance and consistent service to policyholders, claimants, contractors, attorneys, agents, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of property claims handling or insurance field-adjusting experience.
• Solid Xactimate experience; obtain Xactimate Level 1 certification within one year and Level 2 certification within two years.
• Experience preparing independent estimates and handling claims from start to finish.
• Residential construction experience, such as roofing, remodeling, or water mitigation.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to safely access and inspect first- and second-story rooftops with pitches up to 8/12, work irregular or extended hours, travel overnight when required, and respond to catastrophes.
