Location: Texarkana, Texas, United States; ability to travel and work beyond normal office hours may be required.

What you will do

  • Provide individual and group counseling for personal, academic, and career concerns.
  • Deliver crisis intervention, case management, referrals, testing, record maintenance, and related counseling services.
  • Develop and evaluate mental health seminars, outreach initiatives, psychoeducational programs, and presentations.
  • Consult with faculty and staff and collaborate with campus and community partners.
  • Support the guidance, training, and case supervision of counseling or social work practicum and internship students.
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards, confidentiality, licensure, and applicable Texas laws.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or a related specialty.
  • Relevant college counseling field placement or supervised professional experience.
  • Clinical competency in multicultural counseling and the ability to work cooperatively and manage multiple priorities.
  • Eligibility for Texas LPC-Associate, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW licensure is required, and licensure must be maintained for continued employment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable Texas licensing standards and laws.
  • Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

  • Three years of counseling or related experience.
  • Experience in a college counseling center, career counseling, or alcohol and drug use counseling.
  • Experience developing and presenting mental health seminars and counseling diverse college populations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
