What you will do

• Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention for individuals, couples, and groups.
• Assess clients, create care plans, deliver treatment services, and coordinate referrals and case management.
• Deliver mental health outreach, presentations, and workshops for students, faculty, and staff.
• Consult with students, families, faculty, and staff regarding student mental health and well-being.
• Provide adjunct supervision, training seminars, and support for psychology trainees and clinical staff.
• Document services, participate in committees and initiatives, and support clinical and administrative operations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or another degree accepted by the relevant Texas licensing board.
• Current LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license, with licensure in the State of Texas required within one year of employment and maintained thereafter.
• Required post-licensure clinical experience: 3,000 supervised hours for LPCs or LMFTs, or at least one year and 100 supervision hours for LCSWs.
• Ability to provide generalist counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, training, supervision, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Must handle personally identifiable and protected health information in compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and university policies.
• Flexible availability may be required for evening and weekend outreach or crisis response.

Nice to have

• Experience in a university or college counseling center.
• Experience with crisis intervention, risk assessment, outreach, and mental health education.
• Experience supervising clinical trainees or licensed associate clinicians.
• Ability to provide counseling in more than one language used by Texas A&M students.
• Training in evidence-based practices or a related specialization.
