Operational Technology (OT) Server Engineer

Location: Alvin, Texas, United States; onsite at the Chocolate Bayou manufacturing site

Salary: $104,910–$156,300 annually, commensurate with experience

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA operates large-scale olefins and polyolefins manufacturing facilities in North America, producing ethylene, polypropylene, butadiene, and high-density polyethylene.

What you will do

• Build, configure, maintain, monitor, and decommission physical and virtual OT servers in segmented industrial networks.
• Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix, SAN/NAS storage, domain services, DNS/DHCP, NTP, and certificate services for OT trust boundaries.
• Support DCS servers, workstations, PLC and OT device security, and integrations with industrial control systems.
• Perform process-control network audits, apply patches, and maintain high availability of OT systems and cybersecurity tools.
• Implement backup and restore, monitoring, antivirus, application whitelisting, firmware, patching, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
• Support capital projects and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Process Safety, Reliability, Mechanical Integrity, Digital Systems, and Application Engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least five years of operational support experience with enterprise or OT infrastructure in chemical manufacturing or plant operations.
• Working knowledge of ISA99, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-series security practices, risk assessment, and information security frameworks.
• Experience with data protection, business continuity, disaster recovery, IT/OT systems, network segmentation, PLCs, and field devices.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking and virtualization platforms such as VMware, VxRail, vSAN, and NSX.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while partnering with internal stakeholders and supporting operational changes.
