Systems Administrator - Intermediate (Windows/Linux)

Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, USA; onsite support for a contract at the National Museum of the United States Air Force

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per year, paid weekly

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
• Administer user accounts, access permissions, patches, updates, and security configurations.
• Monitor system performance, availability, storage utilization, and infrastructure health.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
• Support virtualization and cloud-based technologies.
• Maintain technical documentation and support cybersecurity and STIG compliance remediation efforts with ISSM/ISSO personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of systems administration experience.
• Experience with enterprise Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Security+ certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server certification.
• VMware VCP certification.
• Linux+ or RHCSA certification.
