System Administrator II

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global office in Rome, New York; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework. Core business hours are 8:00–17:00, Monday–Friday, with occasional after-hours work for system updates.

Projected annual compensation: $64,011.63–$111,303.81.

What you will do

• Administer network, hardware, and software systems while maintaining continuous functionality and security.
• Schedule and monitor software patches, firmware updates, PKI certificates, backups, restores, audits, and software licenses.
• Monitor help desk tickets and resolve system-user issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain system-environment documentation and recommend changes that improve usability, efficiency, uptime, or security.
• Specify and implement approved hardware and software changes, coordinating purchases as needed.
• Coordinate significant environment changes with program management and technical leads through the Configuration Approval Board process.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience, master’s degree with 0–2 years, high school diploma with 8–10 years, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Proficiency in system administration and strong organizational, communication, analytical, evaluation, and judgment skills.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 11, Microsoft Office, RHEL, operating system and network hardening, Red Hat IdM/IPA, VMware VVF, NAS, Cisco IOS, and Aruba networking products.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apache Guacamole, document management software, Trend Micro Deep Security, Tenable Nessus, WSUS, Kubernetes, computer and network hardware maintenance, and the CMMC process.
