Maintenance Mechanic 2 - BCS (Manufacturing)

Location: St Charles, Illinois, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Compensation: $26.26–$34 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment and respond to equipment errors or failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair and maintain die cutters, sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment, and related machinery.
• Manufacture or reproduce replacement parts using welders, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and other machine-shop equipment.
• Perform building repairs and other duties assigned by management.
• Share technical expertise and train other employees.

Requirements

• Advanced skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex machinery.
• Ability to distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures from electrical or electronic faults.
• Ability to make precise alignment, parallelism, and concentricity adjustments.
• Ability to interpret multiview drawings, wiring diagrams, sketches, manufacturer specifications, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of construction and assembly techniques, shop mathematics, geometry, and pressure and flow measurements.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HazMat, Lockout/Tagout, and NEC requirements; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
