Maintenance Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Salary: $33.44–$47.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery, support systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect equipment and systems for potential failures and take proactive corrective measures.
• Implement improvements that increase the efficiency and reliability of facility systems.
• Document maintenance activities and completed work.
• Provide guidance, training, or oversight to junior team members and operational technicians when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, conduit installation, wiring, voltage and current measurement, motor controls, sensors, and electrical control devices.
• Knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading, fluid principles, basic plumbing repair, and preventive maintenance of support equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration components, including condensers, pumps, evaporators, expansion devices, and safety controls.
• Understanding of positive-pressure requirements in controlled environments and lockout/tagout and protective-clothing requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams, supervisors, contractors, and vendors.

Nice to have

• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment or transformers.
• Ability to solder and braze.
• Experience installing copper pipe, tubing, and related fittings.
• Experience identifying gauges, cutting and bending sheet metal, and operating air-handling systems.
