Senior Business Controller (Pharmaceuticals)

Base pay: €90,400–€156,975 annually

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and monthly Integrated Business Planning cycles for Germany.
• Own business planning, challenge assumptions, analyze actuals, and support operating expense and sales forecasting.
• Partner with commercial, marketing, medical, market access, business intelligence, and regional EMEA finance stakeholders.
• Support product launches, complex agreements, market access decisions, and short- and long-term resource allocation.
• Present financial results to regional finance teams and the local management board while driving target achievement.
• Lead and develop the local controller team and support finance transformation, digitalization, standardization, and process improvement.

Requirements

• At least 8–10 years of relevant finance experience in business partnering, forecasting, planning, and business analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analytics, accounting, internal controls, and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.
• Fluency in English is required; advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, are required.
• Understanding of AI concepts, responsible and ethical AI practices, and effective prompt generation.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience and knowledge of market dynamics.
• MBA or Master’s degree; CPA, CFA, CMA, or comparable local certification.
• Experience with finance digitalization and tools such as SAP, Anaplan, and Power BI.
• German language skills and interest in pursuing an international career.
