Facilities Specialist I

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; onsite work required, including in-person response to after-hours building emergencies.

What you will do

• Assist with troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Monitor heating and cooling systems through the building management system to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment, utility systems, buildings, vehicles, landscape machinery, and shop tools.
• Process and maintain work order requests through the computerized maintenance management system and assist with inventory and purchase orders.
• Support facility services such as audio/visual systems, building access or proctoring, and emergency response.
• Respond promptly in person and on site to after-hours building emergencies.

Requirements

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Two years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 45 days of employment.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance safety procedures and basic electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repair.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, and audio/visual systems.
• Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure and work cooperatively while managing multiple tasks.
