Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Location: Midland, TX, United States; on-site work is required. Remote and hybrid options are not available.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, kitchen, roofing, and drainage systems.
• Complete work orders, emergency repairs, maintenance records, and assigned projects.
• Troubleshoot building systems and respond quickly to emergency situations.
• Direct mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors when required.
• Operate energy management systems and implement measures to reduce operating costs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, trade school training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of building maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems operation, maintenance, and repair, including HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Appropriate trade licenses or permits may be required, such as journeyman or master electrician, refrigeration, boiler, or steam operator licenses.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, on-call duties, climb ladders and stairs, and lift at least 50 lbs.
