Facility Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Longview, Texas, United States; onsite full-time

hirify.global operates a manufacturing facility requiring ongoing maintenance of its infrastructure, machinery, and equipment.

What you will do

• Inspect the facility and perform preventive maintenance on systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, motors, generators, and other machinery.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and resolve urgent issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized equipment repairs.
• Perform building maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing, exterior upkeep, landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records, report maintenance status, and recommend improvements while following safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in a skilled maintenance trade such as electrical, millwright, plumbing and pipefitting, HVAC, welding, or sheet metal.
• At least one year of experience in industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, or construction.
• Knowledge of equipment controls, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as NESC and UL/ETL requirements.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and preventive maintenance software, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights and around industrial equipment, stand or walk for up to 95% of the shift, and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Current material handling certification.
• Lock Out/Tag Out certification or experience.
• Lifting and rigging experience.
• Preventive or predictive maintenance experience.
• Journeyman or trade licensing.
