Facilities Specialist - Springfield, MO

Location: Springfield, MO, United States; onsite role with approximately 10–15% travel as needed

What you will do

• Maintain First Residential office spaces, including day-to-day cleaning, repairs, and general building upkeep.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and support energy management and operational efficiency.
• Respond to facility emergencies such as power outages and leaks while maintaining work orders and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate space planning, office renovations, moves, and maintenance concerns with contractors, building supervisors, and skilled trades professionals.
• Share facilities expertise, coach team members, and support the workplace except for licensed tasks.

Requirements

• Relevant facilities management, building maintenance, or transferable practical experience; no specific degree required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time management, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work consistently under pressure in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Customer-service mindset and comfort using basic computer systems.
• Valid driver’s license, solid driving record, and willingness to travel approximately 10–15% when needed.
• Ability to follow local and federal safety regulations, applicable building codes, and company directives.
