Safety Coordinator II (Construction Safety)

Location: Santa Fe Springs, California; onsite at active construction sites

Salary: $45.00–$52.00 per hour, paid weekly.

What you will do

• Conduct independent jobsite walkthroughs, identify hazards, document observations, and support corrective actions.
• Monitor fall protection, energized work and LOTO, MEWP and forklift operations, temporary power, electrical safety, confined spaces, trenching, and excavation controls.
• Review permits, AHAs, plans, and other high-risk work documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Maintain safety records in KPA Flex or similar systems and assist with incident documentation, audits, and inspections.
• Support toolbox talks, onboarding, safety discussions, and guidance for Safety Coordinator I personnel.
• Work with foremen, superintendents, project managers, electricians, and other trades to communicate hazards and safety expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of construction or safety-related experience.
• Valid, insurable California driver’s license.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• OSHA 30 – Construction certification, or ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of construction environments, hazard controls, safety documentation, and Cal/OSHA Title 8 requirements.
