Safety Coordinator (Construction)

Location: Fargo, North Dakota, on a large data center project near the Fargo area; onsite work and travel required

Estimated pay: $64,000–$107,700 per year

What you will do

• Implement and maintain the project-specific safety program within an Incident and Injury Free culture.
• Deliver safety orientations, task-based training, toolbox talks, and other site safety communications.
• Conduct project safety inspections and train field workers to recognize and avoid unsafe conditions.
• Monitor compliance with corporate, state, federal, OSHA, and construction industry safety requirements.
• Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, owners, and safety personnel on safety policies and high-risk work plans.
• Support worker compensation needs, incident investigations, corrective actions, and return-to-work processes.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in construction safety or a safety-related degree.
• Experience conducting safety training and working with EHS and construction regulatory standards.
• Competence in excavation, trenching, fall protection, confined space, silica, scaffolding, rigging, and signaling.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification; OSHA 30 and/or OSHA 510 certification preferred.
• STS-C certification or the ability to obtain it within the first six months of employment.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work onsite in various, sometimes extreme, climate conditions.
