TL;DR
Safety Manager (Manufacturing): Leading and advancing an enterprise-wide workplace safety program across manufacturing, operations, and office environments with an accent on OSHA compliance, hazard prevention, incident management, and safety culture. Location: Onsite work, commutable to Brunswick, Maine, with potential hybrid flexibility based on business needs

Base compensation: $90,000–$100,000 per year

hirify.global is hiring for a manufacturing and operations organization focused on safe, compliant, and continuous-improvement-oriented production.

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve enterprise-wide safety programs, policies, procedures, goals, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, including recordkeeping, reporting, inspections, and agency correspondence.
  • Conduct hazard assessments, workplace inspections, job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations across manufacturing, facilities, and office environments.
  • Maintain critical safety programs covering machine guarding, lockout/tagout, confined space, electrical safety, fall protection, PPE, hazard communication, and emergency preparedness.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive action plans to reduce injuries and near misses.
  • Design and deliver safety training, coach leaders and employees, and lead safety committees and engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • At least five years of progressive EHS or safety leadership experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience managing regulatory inspections and organizational compliance.
  • Experience with machinery, fabrication equipment, material handling systems, powered industrial trucks, and industrial production processes.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence leaders, interpret safety metrics, solve problems, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work onsite and commute to Brunswick, Maine; travel of up to 10% may be required.

Nice to have

  • Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Health and Safety Technologist, OSHA 30-Hour, or First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
