Forward Deployed Engineer (GenAI)

Location: Hybrid in Waltham, MA; New York City, NY; Princeton, NJ; or East Norriton, PA

Salary: $128,000–$192,000 per year, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand commercial use cases and deliver rapid prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with commercial and medical affairs teams at biopharma and life sciences organizations to identify unmet needs.
• Build high-quality code, data pipelines, and model integrations for rapid experimentation.
• Develop scalable solutions using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, search frameworks, and multimodal GenAI capabilities.
• Conduct demonstrations, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions to improve client adoption.
• Work with engineers, product managers, and designers to transition prototypes into production-ready product features.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node, React, Python, cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience building or integrating AI, ML, and GenAI systems.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-technical client stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in dynamic, client-facing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Previous experience working with life sciences or biotech companies.
