Senior AI Engineer (GenAI)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, or Warsaw, Poland; 70% in-office work model

Salary: $145,900–$234,200 per year, plus potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity

What you will do

• Define reference architectures and technical strategies for AI software delivery, GenAI applications, agentic workflows, ML services, and cloud data platforms.
• Lead deployment standards across development, testing, validation, and production, including lakehouse design, Unity Catalog, MLflow, model serving, automation, observability, and access governance.
• Build and review APIs, orchestration patterns, model-serving interfaces, reusable libraries, and platform accelerators for production AI systems.
• Establish AI/ML/LLMOps practices covering automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, versioning, evaluation, monitoring, incident response, and rollback.
• Integrate SAP and enterprise data sources into data products, feature pipelines, semantic layers, and decision-support services for supply chain and business stakeholders.
• Partner with product, architecture, cybersecurity, quality, validation, and infrastructure teams while mentoring engineers and improving reliability, performance, cost efficiency, data quality, and developer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent deep technical experience.
• 7+ years of software, data, or AI engineering experience, including 4+ years delivering production ML, GenAI, analytics, automation, or data-intensive systems.
• Expert Python and SQL skills, software architecture expertise, and experience with Java, Scala, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on frontend experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
• Hands-on backend experience designing production APIs and services, including REST or GraphQL, security, testing, observability, and debugging.
• Experience with LLM/GenAI systems, RAG, agents, embeddings, vector search, evaluation, guardrails, cloud architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and secure regulated systems. • Life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or other regulated-domain experience.
• SAP ECC/S/4HANA, IBP, MM, PP, QM, SD, EWM/WM, MDG, or BTP integration experience.
• Databricks Asset Bundles, Terraform, Databricks SQL, feature stores, vector search, model monitoring, and lakehouse governance experience.
• Experience with forecasting, optimization, simulation, anomaly detection, scheduling, inventory, logistics, or decision intelligence.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical direction across global teams.
