Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Syracuse, NY, United States

Salary: $94,321–$165,875 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative-shift positions.

What you will do

• Lead supplier selection, capability analysis, audits, and qualification activities from prototyping through production.
• Analyze supplier and nonconformance failures, drive corrective actions, and improve ongoing supplier compliance.
• Partner with engineering teams and supplier quality representatives on interfaces, incoming inspection criteria, and quality issues.
• Develop supplier relationships, negotiate initial project pricing, and lead cost and quality improvement efforts.
• Establish FAI and inspection plans, maintain supplier technology road maps, and support supply-continuity and disaster-recovery strategies.
• Support compliance with ISO, safety, security, EEO, OSHA, anti-kickback, and export-control policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a highly competitive environment.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of statistics, statistical process control, inspection methods, quality systems, policies, and procedures.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and IPC is desired.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC policies; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
