Sr. Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Salary: $95,040–$142,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, maintain, and audit a certified ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
• Create and revise quality procedures with Manufacturing and Engineering while supporting lean operations.
• Support product development and new product introduction through benchmarking, capability assessments, control plans, and risk reviews.
• Develop inspection, verification, validation, and qualification strategies for products, equipment, and fixtures.
• Lead complaint investigations, returned-product failure analysis, and stop-ship or stop-production issue resolution.
• Mentor Operations Quality team members and provide quality training and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field; an associate degree may be considered with additional experience.
• 5–7 years of related quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of quality methodologies including 8D, Lean, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, and Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 13485 and recognized international quality standards.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly practices.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with UL, IEC, CE, GSA, CSA, FCC, CB Scheme, LVD, EMC, RoHS, REACH, CA65, or energy-efficiency compliance requirements.
• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ, engineering change orders, and design transfer to manufacturing and suppliers.
