Sr Staff Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $116,250–$155,000 per year, plus potential annual bonus

What you will do

• Support system test and assembly teams in investigating quality issues and developing solutions for NPI builds.
• Document non-conformances, drive corrective actions with supplier quality engineering, and create quality and process alerts.
• Lead pilot build audits for new SKUs and identify risks with NPI and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Develop control plans, inspection strategies, and inspection SOPs based on critical-to-quality requirements.
• Participate in DFM and PFMEA reviews, improve assembly processes, and reduce workmanship errors through root cause corrective action.
• Monitor quality KPIs, maintain QMS documentation, support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, and assist with customer audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or another engineering discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in a high-mix, medium-volume hardware manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience with Six Sigma tools and techniques, ISO 9001 or equivalent quality auditing, and complex problem solving.
• Experience coaching engineers and technicians and working cross-functionally with executive management to achieve measurable results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, and Minitab.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines.
