Test Engineer (DEA) (Pega): Designing and executing functional and regression tests for Pega applications supporting the DEA Investigative Case and Data Ecosystem modernization effort with an accent on requirements analysis, defect tracking, and interoperability testing. Focus on translating acceptance criteria into detailed test scenarios, validating integrated workflows, and coordinating quality activities across Agile development iterations.
Location: Arlington, Virginia; primarily onsite at DEA Headquarters

What you will do
- Design, develop, and execute functional test cases for Pega applications and business workflows.
- Translate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into detailed test scenarios.
- Validate functionality, identify and track defects, and coordinate retesting with engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain functional and regression test suites and supporting test artifacts.
- Support user acceptance testing, system validation, interoperability testing, and reporting.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to QA process improvement throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with Pega functional testing tools and QA approaches for Pega applications.
- Strong knowledge of functional testing, test-case development, defect tracking, and regression testing.
- Experience analyzing requirements and documenting defects, risks, test results, and recommendations.
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile development methodologies.
- Top Secret clearance required, with willingness to pursue SCI.
Nice to have
- Pega certification such as CSA or CSSA.
- Experience with PegaUnit, Selenium for Pega UI, or hybrid test-automation frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD-integrated testing, user acceptance testing, and system integrations.
- Experience supporting federal government or complex enterprise software modernization programs.
