QA Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; primarily onsite, with flexibility around core collaboration hours from 10 AM to 3 PM.

What you will do

• Develop structured test plans and detailed, executable test cases from PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, manual exploratory, and risk-based testing.
• Validate calculations, servicing logic, workflow outputs, source-of-truth datasets, and business rules.
• Document defects, reproduce issues, retest fixes, and track regression risk in Azure DevOps.
• Participate in sprint planning and design reviews to improve testability and clarify requirements.
• Support release readiness and go/no-go decisions through coverage, defect, risk, and stability reporting.

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA experience in SaaS or web applications.
• Strong test case writing and experience with functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, sprint collaboration, and release validation.
• Understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodology.
• Basic SQL skills for independent data validation and investigation.
• Ability to work primarily onsite in Phoenix, Arizona.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, financial platforms, or calculation-heavy systems.
• Exposure to API testing with Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with exploratory or session-based testing.
• Experience reviewing PRDs for testability or working in stabilization phases.
• Exposure to test automation or interest in expanding automated test coverage.
