Mechanical Project Engineer-New Product Development

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States. Relocation assistance is available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $83,300–$105,200 per year.

What you will do

• Lead new product development projects for high-performance generator sets and power generation solutions from concept through validation.
• Establish product requirements and functional specifications with Product Management, including design, performance, cost, reliability, and durability targets.
• Create project timelines and spending estimates, present business cases, track costs, and keep projects on schedule.
• Provide technical and design direction to Engineering Analysts and other Engineers.
• Design generator sets, approve major purchased components, and support selections with engineering calculations.
• Validate designs through testing and lead continuous improvement initiatives and system upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 2–5 years of mechanical engineering experience developing new consumer or industrial products.
• Experience or exposure to DFMEA, systems engineering practices, or model-based development.
• Strong documentation, communication, problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a structured development environment and collaborate in a team.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with power generation, internal combustion engines, cooling systems, or alternators.
