Generator Services Project Engineer (Power Generation)

Location: Hybrid, requiring three days per week at the Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania site in the Greater Pittsburgh Area; domestic travel up to 10% may be required.

What you will do

• Lead planning and engineering support for generator inspections, maintenance, repairs, rewinds, upgrades, and outage projects.
• Develop work scopes, technical instructions, risk assessments, and execution plans for safe project delivery.
• Coordinate with customers, field service teams, product line managers, outage specialists, and technical experts.
• Build and manage project schedules, resource plans, and critical milestones.
• Drive technical problem-solving, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in tooling, procedures, safety, and outage execution.
• Support the reliability, availability, and long-term performance of turbine-generator assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in power generation, rotating equipment, field service, maintenance engineering, outage execution, project engineering, or a related technical environment.
• Experience coordinating technical projects involving large industrial equipment, power plant assets, or critical infrastructure.
• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work three days per week at the Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania site and travel domestically up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with turbine generators, large electrical apparatus, rotating equipment, or power generation systems.
• Knowledge of generator inspections, testing, rewinds, repairs, outage planning, or maintenance execution.
• Experience supporting field service organizations, outage management, or equipment upgrades.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, technical work packages, or project scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of generator rotor, stator, and auxiliary systems.
