Sr. Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Analyst

Location: Remote in Los Angeles, California, or hybrid in Goleta, California, with office attendance typically three times per week from Tuesday through Thursday.

Salary: $79,900–$107,800 annually for the Goleta location.

What you will do

• Research new and revised accounting standards and assess their implications for business transactions.
• Prepare technical accounting documentation covering stock compensation, hedging, segment reporting, leases, and asset impairments.
• Lead global SEC reporting, including the financial reporting calendar, Forms 10-K and 10-Q, Form 8-K earnings releases, and quarterly reporting deliverables.
• Prepare core financial statements, including cash flow statements, draft disclosures, perform variance analyses, and review XBRL taxonomy tagging.
• Perform financial reporting controls such as disclosure checklists, certifications, tie-out procedures, reconciliations, and retention checks.
• Support internal and external audits, SOX requirements, process improvements, global partner training, and ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, technical accounting research, or SEC compliance.
• Strong expertise in GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and financial reporting controls.
• Experience with Hyperion/Oracle, SAP BPC, OneStream, or similar ERP systems, plus financial reporting tools and automation features.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, communicate complex concepts clearly, and collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work remotely from Los Angeles or attend the Goleta office three times per week.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and active CPA license.
• Experience with public accounting firms or complex global public companies with more than $4 billion in annual revenue.
• Experience with Microsoft applications and task management tools such as Monday.com.
