Financial Reporting, Senior Associate

Location: Hybrid remote/in-person at 333 Bush St. Suite 2700, San Francisco, United States

Salary: $115,000–$135,000 per year, excluding annual incentive awards and benefits.

What you will do

• Prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual SEC reports, including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K, in Workiva.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and regulatory reports for the Office of Finance and the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
• Develop presentations of financial results for executive leadership and analyze financial statement variances and trends.
• Respond to SEC and stakeholder inquiries, coordinate input from Legal and other departments, and advise on accounting treatment.
• Review disclosures, maintain audit trails, support combined financial statements, and update Sarbanes-Oxley internal control matrices.
• Improve Workday Financials reporting and explore automation tools for financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of applicable accounting or auditing experience, preferably in an accounting firm or financial institution.
• Proficiency in SEC reporting requirements, disclosure research, Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, and XBRL.
• Ability to research, analyze, and resolve financial reporting issues and work accurately under strict deadlines.
• Working knowledge of automated accounting systems, financial data analysis, report generation, Microsoft Office, and database tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, MBA, or post-baccalaureate degree or certificate.
• Exposure to Workday Financials.
