Location: Canandaigua, New York, United States; office-based

Salary: $72,400–$90,500 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Analyze electric distribution systems, customer loads, and reliability performance of underperforming circuits.
• Design electrical systems and support residential, commercial, and industrial engineering services.
• Prepare project specifications, preliminary designs, budget estimates, and technical contract requirements.
• Monitor construction, equipment delivery, schedules, contractor performance, invoices, and compliance with plans and engineering codes.
• Evaluate equipment, materials, vendors, engineering alternatives, and contractor proposals.
• Serve as project engineer or project coordinator on assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work from the Canandaigua office and comply with applicable immigration requirements to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with distribution system reliability studies, contingency planning, capital budget proposals, financial models, flicker analysis, or fuse-recloser coordination.
• Experience evaluating vendors, equipment, materials, or engineering alternatives.
• Communication, teamwork, customer focus, initiative, and continuous-improvement skills.
