Salary: $84,000 for Engineer Assc; $86,000–$105,000 for Engineer; $98,993–$124,940 for Engineer Sr. Compensation range: $74,551–$128,688.

What you will do

• Review relay protection and control activities, scopes, cost estimates, engineering, and designs for 4kV–765kV electrical substation projects.
• Support project scheduling, resource planning, cost control, installation, commissioning, checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Model transmission system impedances and perform short-circuit fault and area protection studies.
• Recommend settings for transmission line and station protection schemes and review transmission system planning proposals.
• Analyze interruption reports and fault recorder records to resolve protection and control problems.
• Coordinate with transmission customers, interconnected companies, telecommunications, operations, station engineering, planning, and project management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program for the Engineer Assc level.
• Engineer level: typically two or more years of related engineering experience, or a relevant master's degree.
• Engineer Sr level: typically four or more years of related engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or two years with a master's degree or PhD.
• Engineering Technology degrees may satisfy the requirement with a certified Professional Engineering license.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in a U.S. state or Puerto Rico is encouraged for the Engineer Sr level.
• Work is performed on-site in New Albany, Ohio.
