Distribution Design Engineer (Hybrid)

Annual salary: $100,490–$111,660, plus potential incentive

What you will do

• Plan and manage assigned distribution circuits, analyzing load growth, voltage profiles, overloads, fault conditions, and reliability.
• Identify system improvements, major repair needs, equipment replacement opportunities, and project priorities using cost-benefit analysis.
• Engineer corrective actions for outages, voltage issues, power quality events, and recurring distribution problems.
• Develop and present distribution projects for review and approval, create work requests in STORMS/AIMS, and provide project management support.
• Support Operations and Field Engineering Design with switching reviews, contingency plans, equipment settings, customer additions, and distributed generation interconnection evaluations.
• Participate in storm restoration and emergency assignments, including emergency preparedness and restoration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Two to five years of equivalent experience in Energy Delivery is preferred.
• Knowledge of electric distribution systems and related computer applications.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment and collaborate with engineering, operations, construction, customers, and other departments.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.
